Pengkalan Hulu, 23 April 2017 (Sunday) – A total of 100 students who will be sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2017 examination from 15 schools in the Hulu Perak district participated in the Program Jaya SPM 2017 under the Wakaf Perak Al-Ridzuan (WAPAR) project, namely Wakaf Ilmu-Mumtaz. This program is the 5th initiative successfully organized since WAPAR was launched on 7 April 2016.
The participants consisted of students with an average level of academic performance in school. The program provided them with deeper exposure to techniques for answering exam questions correctly as well as self-motivation to succeed in life. The speakers comprised excellent and experienced teachers. With the guidance given, the participants were able to improve their academic performance and nurture themselves to become an ummah that succeeds both in this world and the hereafter.
The three-day, two-night program, held from 21st to 23rd April 2017 at Kroh Inn Rest House, was a collaboration between the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) and the Hulu Perak District Education Office. The Closing Ceremony was officiated by Mr. Amirudin Bin Osman, Baitulmal Officer of Gerik District, MAIPk, and was also attended by Mr. Nasarudin bin Abd Rahman, Deputy Education Officer of Hulu Perak, along with officers from the Hulu Perak PPD and MAIPk.
