HANDOVER CEREMONY OF WAKAF PERAK AL RIDZUAN BOAT BY UniKL MIMET TO MAIPk
The Wakaf Perak Al Ridzuan (WAPAR) is an initiative by the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) to revive the practice of cash waqf through a more systematic method of collection and management. All waqf contributions are pooled into a single fund and distributed in the form of high-impact projects for the benefit of the Muslim community.
The completed boats will be handed over to selected Fishermen’s Associations (PNK). These associations will rent the boats to fishermen (skippers) who are members with the required skills to operate them. Part of the rental income will be used for boat maintenance, while the remainder will serve as a revolving fund to finance the construction of new waqf boats.
