The establishment of Waqf Enactment (Perak) 2015 which became effective on 12th February 2016 is a new turning point for waqf administration in Perak. Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) has the power to administrate the waqf properties through this Enactment. Besides that, various waqf methods and instruments can now be implemented by MAIPk in accordance with the law.

The 193th conference of Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council on 18th December 2015 reached an agreement to establish waqf funds namely Wakaf Perak Al Ridzuan, and assigned a number of projects that will be implemented. This Wakaf Perak Al Ridzuan fundraising program will give assurance to the public that the waqf donation will be used according to the donors’ intention as well as donors’ selected waqf projects.

The gold color symbolizes that the value of the waqf contributed remains everlasting and is capable of providing great value to the contributors.

It signifies MAIPk’s continuous and steadfast efforts in fulfilling the trust entrusted by the ummah, without being influenced by any party, and remaining firmly centered on principles grounded in the Shariah.

This text is placed at the bottom to signify that all contributions received through Wakaf will be enjoyed by all the people of the State of Perak.

The value of contemporary Islamic artistry reflects that WAQAF remains relevant with the changing times. The seven black dots in the word PERAK represent the various waqf projects undertaken. The three yellow dots symbolize the Royal Institution that protects all the people of Perak, led by the Sultan, the Raja Muda, and the Raja DiHilir.
