PRESENTATION OF A LETTER OF APPRECIATION FOR THE HANDOVER OF THE WAKAF ASSET OF HOTEL SERI WARISAN, TAIPING, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BUSINESS ZAKAT HANDOVER CEREMONY WITH HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE SULTAN OF PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN
Kuala Lumpur, 22 October 2025 — His Royal Highness Paduka Seri Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur Lah, graciously conferred a Letter of Appreciation upon the Department of Wakaf, Hajj and Zakat (JAWHAR), represented by the Deputy Director-General of JAWHAR, YBrs. En. Haiorolanuar bin Mohamad.
The conferment was made in recognition of JAWHAR’s commitment to the development and handover of Hotel Seri Warisan (Taiping Wakaf Hotel), Phase 2, Taiping, and took place at Istana Perak, Changkat Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.
The ceremony was also attended by His Royal Highness Raja Kecil Besar of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Raja Dato’ Seri Azlan Muzzaffar Shah ibni Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah; the President of the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk), Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar bin Zaini; and the Chief Executive Officer of MAIPk, Tuan Syamsul Hazeman bin Md Salleh.
In the letter, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan expressed his appreciation for the support and contributions of JAWHAR in strengthening the waqf institution in the State of Perak through the development of two blocks of wakaf hotels funded under the Malaysia Plan, amounting to RM42 million. This project serves as a catalyst and motivation for the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) to continue optimising the management of wakaf assets to ensure greater effectiveness, viability, and sustainability.
May the close collaboration between JAWHAR and MAIPk continue to strengthen the potential and expand the contributions of waqf in this country, particularly in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
