MAIPk received approval to Establish or Maintain Private Healthcare Facilities or Services from the Private Medical Practice Control Branch (CKAPS), Medical Practice Division, Ministry of Finance Malaysia on 14 February 2018.<\/p>\n

JUNE 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) approved the zoning for the Construction of the Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre at Masjid Alang Iskandar Shah, Kampung Dato Seri Kamaruddin, Manjung on 20 June 2017. The Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) will proceed with the next phase, which includes preparing the necessary plans for planning permission applications, and construction will begin once approval from the local authority is obtained.<\/p>\n

Construction of the Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

MAIPk, in collaboration with Kumpulan Perubatan Ar-Ridzuan, plans to establish a Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre in every district in the state of Perak through funds from Waqaf Perak Al Ridzuan (WAPAR). As a start, the Manjung district was selected as the pilot project for the construction of the Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre due to factors such as high population density, statistics on kidney patients, and good public transportation.<\/p>\n

The construction cost, purchase of equipment, and treatment facilities for this haemodialysis centre will be fully funded (100%) by cash waqf contributions from the public and corporate bodies. The centre\u2019s operations will be managed by Kumpulan Perubatan Ar-Ridzuan Sdn. Bhd., which has experience in managing haemodialysis centres.<\/p>\n

The establishment of this Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre is expected to meet the growing demand for haemodialysis treatment, especially with the increasing number of patients sponsored annually by MAIPk through zakat funds. According to information obtained from Hospital Seri Manjung, as of December 2016, a total of 60 patients were still waiting for their turn to receive dialysis treatment in the district. Therefore, this Wakaf Haemodialysis Centre is also expected to accommodate the treatment needs of these patients<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
